Flowers That Don't Wither

“FLOWERS THAT DON’T WITHER” brings together a carefully selected group of Still Life paintings by European post-Impressionist artists, who  preserved the tradition of figurative art throughout the twentieth century, during decades increasingly dominated by abstraction.

Featuring paintings by Guy Bardone, René Genis, Maurice Blond, and Clifford Cundy, the exhibition explores transformation of ordinary subjects into enduring colorful vignettes. Flowers, vessels, fruit, and musical instruments become part of a larger visual language rooted in observance, permanence, and poetic reality.
