Etching on sepia by Mohamed Ben Meftah, titled "Scene de Chevaux en Pleine Nature" (French, Scene of Horses in Open Nature). The complex composition depicts a group of four horses in an open landscape, with mountains and a city in the background. Fine linear etching and tonal shading. Signed twice and dated 1975. Preserved in excellent vintage condition. Newly framed.

Mohamed Ben Meftah (b. 1946, Tunisia) is a painter and engraver. He studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Tunis (1966) and at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris (1966–1970), where he also trained in lithography and engraving in the studio of Robert Cami. In 1974 he was appointed professor of graphic design at the Technical Institute of Art, Architecture and Urban Planning in Tunis. His work is primarily graphic, with a strong focus on engraving and printmaking.
