A large oil on canvas tapestry cartoon, depicting a pastoral landscape with a village, bridge, trees, animals, fruit, and a grotto fountain. The central scene is enclosed within an elaborate painted Rococo cartouche of scrolling foliage, flowers, animalistic and ornamental motifs, bordered by dense green foliate decoration.

Based on the composition and vocabulary of the elements, the piece is attributed to French decorative tradition, probably connected stylistically with Aubusson/Beauvais tapestry design.
