About

Large pottery chargers in the Copeland* style, of a circular shape, decorated with a bas relief in mistletoe and holly leaves motifs (with green, ochre, white, and red detailing against a white ground). Glossy glazing. Preserved in great vintage condition, minor wear due to natural aging.

Eight chargers are available and may be purchased separately. The price is listed per single piece.

*The Copeland name is associated with the history of the Spode factory in Stoke-on-Trent. William Taylor Copeland acquired the business in partnership with Thomas Garrett in 1833; after the partnership ended in 1847, the firm continued under the Copeland name and became known for a wide range of Victorian porcelain, earthenware, and decorative ceramics. These chargers resemble Copeland style and are not attributed as period Copeland manufacture.
