A French Art Deco opalescent glass vase by Verlys, dating to the 1930s. The rounded body is moulded in relief with stylised laurel leaves and berry clusters arranged in vertical panels, with softly opalescent highlights across the frosted surface.
Verlys was a French decorative glass manufacturer active during the Art Deco period, closely associated with the glassworks of Holophane at Les Andelys in Normandy. From the 1920s through the 1930s, the company produced moulded and pressed glass vases, bowls, and decorative objects characterised by sculptural relief decoration, floral and naturalistic motifs, and opalescent finishes.
